Dr Andrew AREWA – HND, BSc,MSC. PhD, MRICS, FHEA, MCIOB

Dr. Andrew Arewa is a Chartered quantity surveyor, an academia, and a professional project, and commercial manager with over 17 years’ of practice experience in the construction, and oil & gas industry. 

He has led and managed multi-million pounds projects for many organisations in different continents including Africa, Europe, and The Middle East.

He obtained his Bachelor of Science (Bsc Hons) degree in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management from the University of Bolton; a Master’s degree (MSc) Construction Project Management from the University of Salford, as well as a PhD in Construction Management also from the University of Bolton all in The United Kingdom. Prior to these qualifications, he obtained HND in Civil/Structural Engineering and a Diploma in Civil Engineering both from Auchi Polytechnic in Nigeria.

Dr Arewa currently is an Associate Professor in Quantity Surveying and Commercial Management, and a Course Director of MSC Project and Cost Management programme at Coventry University in England. He has previously worked with Bouygues Construction Ltd an international construction company for over 10 years in Nigeria as Project manager, Cost Control and Commercial manager. Some of the multi million pounds projects that Dr Arewa managed includes: the construction of Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Bonny; National Stadium Abuja; Nigerian Breweries (N70 Billion Naira) Ama plant – Enugu; United Cement Factory (N11 Billion Naira project) – Calabar; Construction of The Supreme Court Headquarter, Abuja;  Construction of Appeal Court Headquarter Abuja; Construction of Auchi Agenebode Road, Edo state; Millennium tower Salford quays Manchester- UK, and the Construction of Queen Elizabeth Hospital (PFI) (Birmingham) England, UK.

He is a Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS), a Member of The Chartered Institute of Builders (MCIOB), A Fellow of the Higher Education Academy all in the United Kingdom.  He is also an RICS assessor.
